Chong Liu joined the University of Chicago as a Postdoctoral Scholar in September 2023. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His research interests are (1) Machine Learning, including Bayesian optimization, bandits, and active learning; and (2) AI for Science, including experimental design, materials science, and drug discovery. He is an editorial board reviewer of the Journal of Machine Learning Research (JMLR) and serves on program committees of several conferences, for example, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, AISTATS, AAAI, KDD, and SDM. He is also the lead organizer of the NeurIPS 2023 Workshop on New Frontiers of AI for Drug Discovery and Development.
